FINAL GRADE SHEET

Please find below your final grades.

Section 10
Section 11

bEFORE CONTACTING ME FOR ANY CLARIFICATIONS, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY!

1) Your blog grades have been adjusted based on the conversation I had in class on exam day. For those who lost 2 points for EVERY missed posting, now have 1 POINT back for EVERY missed posting. For example, if you missed 2 postings, and you lost 4 points earlier…now I have given you 2 points back. Please contact me for grade changes in this category only if the following has happened:

    1) you have changed posting dates..you want to acknowledge that now and have your grades adjusted.
    2) You have lost MORE THAN 1 POINT for every missed posting.
    3) I have made a mistake in totaling your point for the blog project.
    4) I have not included your extra credit for this project.

2) Your final exam: For section 10, one of the student presentation questions was worded wrongly on the exam. As a result, I have awarded one point to everyone to compensate for that question. There were no such errors in Section 11 and therefore, no points have been added.

Please contact me about this category only if
    1. you want to see your scantron and check the scores
    2. I have forgotten to add the one point for you.

3) Final project: I have been very liberal in grading this project. I will not entertain any request for upgrading the score because “you just feel it is very low.” If you want to see me about grade changes in this area,

    1. Please be very sure of your request. I have already been very lenient in assigning points to the project.
    2. I will be in my office during the following hours, if you would like to pick up your report or talk to me about your grades.
    Today: Tuesday, Dec. 13 – 3pm to 5pm
    Tomorrow, Wed, Dec 14 – 10am to 12noon
Day after tomorrow: Thu, Dec 15 – 11 am to 12 noon AND from 2.30 pm to 5pm.
    3. Please meet me as a team. I do not think it will be a very efficient use of our time if I spend the time with each team member individually.
    4. Please do not ask for extra points because one or more of your team members did not step up to the plate and do his/her work. This report was a team report and each member of the team was equally responsible for this.
    5. PLEASE EMAIL ME AT anusiva@udel.edu AND LET ME KNOW IF YOU WILL BE PICKING UP YOUR REPORT AND AT WHAT TIME AND DATE. If you do not pick up your report by NOON ON Friday, December 16, 2005, I will pass your report on to the client so that he can use them in the future.
    6. If you did not submit an electronic version of your storyboards, I will take the storyboards from your report and pass them onto the client. So don’t be shocked if you pick up the report and do not find the storyboards in them.

All grades have been rounded off to the nearest whole number. Please do not contact me with requests for 0.5 points or 0.25 points to push your letter grade to the next level. I will not entertain such requests.

I will be submitting the final grades to the University on Friday, December 16 at Noon. I need you to sort out any issues you have with your grade before noon on Friday, December 16, 2005.

I really enjoyed having you in class this semester! Happy Holidays!

Class Schedule Change for Job Fair

!!IMPORTANT!!

The CEO of American SecuriComm has kindly agreed to visit the class on Sept. 29 (instead of Sept. 27) so that you can go to the Job Jamboree!

We will still have class on Sept. 27 (I cannot cancel class for the event!) and I will be discussing Chapter 7 and answers any questions that people might have about their blogs.

The groups presenting Chapter 7 can choose to do it on Sept. 27 (at the end of class) or on Oct. 4 (at the beginning of class)

The class will be held in the lab as scheduled so that we can do some hands-on work on the blogs.

You can attend either sections of my class on that day. I am hoping that even if you are not able to attend your regular section you might attend the other one after you are done with your career fair.

All the very best!

Anu

Adding Folders to your bloglines account

Here's how you will add folders to your bloglines account.

1) once you have added a blog (the instructions for that have been discussed earlier) to the bloglines account, click on that blog. The blog will appear on the right hand side of your bloglines screen...on the top of that screen you will see a blue band that says "unsubscribe" "edit subscription" etc.
2) Click on "Edit subscription"
3) a new screen will pop open. The second item on that screen is "folder" The default for that is Top Level. Click on that window and you will see an option that says "New Folder...". Click on New Folder. It will ask you for the folder name. Give your folder a name (like, "news" or Entertainment") and then choose whichever option you want this blog to be under...for example. choose news if you want the current blog to be under news.

If you want to categorize your current subscriptions. Go to the Edit option on the left hand side of your bloglines account. there you can move your existing blogs to any folder that you have already created.

Email me at anusiva@udel.edu. if you have any questions.

Anu
